A-Z Advice To My Younger Self (Part 1: A-M)

A- “Always follow your heart, but take your brain with you.”

B- Be strong

C- Calm down, everything and everyone isn’t worth reacting to.

D- Dream bigger.

E- Earn all of your success with help or without.

F- Feel what you feel, but stop letting your emotions control your actions.

G- Get an good education, but be street smart as well.

H- Humor (Keep your delightful sense of humor and laugh harder on sad days.

I- Intelligence is good to have, but having a knack for inspiring others to fulfill themselves is better.

J- Just keep going, keep fighting in this game of life, no matter how hard it gets.

K- Keep people out of your business, but always be kind.

L- (Never) lose your sense of wonder, adventure, imagination, and free spirit.

M- Marry a man who wants to be kept, you’ll marry later in life though.

  1. I especially loved C.. I still feel I am so young inside that I do not always I do not always have the best advice to give my younger self to be honest.. but I would try to tell my younger self she is fine as she is and does not always have to apologize and try to change to suit the needs of others.

    1. I know what you mean, thanks for sharing. And yeah, I’ve always been a bit high-strung and prone to worrying. Throughout the years, I’ve learned to not worry so much and let minor things roll off my back. Things always work out in the end. Reacting to everything and everybody just drains you, it’s not worth it. Good advice as well, my younger self was always apologizing as well. Now, I live unapologetically. My young adult self was always putting others needs before mine too, had to stop that!
