A Rock In A Hard Place

Have you ever been in a rock in a hard place before in life? I have more times than I would’ve liked to have been. In fact, I am currently stuck in a few at the present time. I won’t go into details, but it seems that most people have been in one time or another in their lives. A person who is in a rock in a hard place is in a situation or circumstance in life that they’d rather not be in, but have no power to change at the moment. While in mine, I’ve mostly wanted to have the answers to all my problems appear right away, but when you’re in a rock in a hard place things don’t work out like that. As a friend pointed out to me recently, “If you’re in one, you’re in one for a reason and purpose. That purpose being that God is going to use it to strengthen you, and help you grow.” I hadn’t exactly considered that point of view until she pointed it out to me, but it makes sense. God won’t bring you to a hard place in life if he’s not going to help you through it. He also isn’t going to let you wiggle your way out of them either, if he knows that you must go through them in order to get to the next stage of your life. While it is in a person’s nature to become frustrated, angry, disappointed, and discontent while in rock in hard places in life, it is best that we as people learn how to let God lead us out of them. We should learn to wait patiently on God to lead us out of hard times, instead of always needing an immediate answer to our problems. It may not be what you want to do or feel like doing, but the hard tests of life will produce harvests of good in your life. So the next time you’re in the middle of a rock in a hard place, instead of saying why God or move it Lord, endure it and wait on him to reveal its purpose in your life.

Think about it. Have a good week 🙂
